Bonnie Schneider

Bonnie Schneider is a national television meteorologist based in New York City, appearing on MSNBC/NBC News and Yahoo! Finance. She created the platform Weather & Wellness©, successfully launching its original video content focusing on climate change and health for New York-based Newsday’s digital site. Her first book, Extreme Weather, was published by Palgrave Macmillian.

Previously, Bonnie was a special correspondent and on-camera weather expert for Bloomberg TV. She regularly appeared on CNN, HLN, and CNN International. At CNN, she contributed to the network’s Peabody Award for “Coverage of Hurricane Katrina and its Aftermath.” Bonnie has held weather and reporting positions at local TV stations across the country, ranging in location from Lake Charles, Louisiana to Boston, Massachusetts.

Bonnie has presented her research as a keynote and featured speaker at a variety of national venues ranging from science museums to Google corporate headquarters. At the Manova Health Summit in Minneapolis, Minnesota her talk on weather, climate change, and health was attended by over 1,500 global leaders in medicine and technology.

Native New Yorker and a graduate of Boston University, Bonnie was awarded the American Meteorological Society's Seal of Approval for achieving the highest standard of excellence in both technical weather knowledge and communication skills.
